Makaela & Aaron Chato

Makaela and Aaron met through the wonderful world of dog showing. Makaela from WA with her Shetland sheepdogs and Aaron from NSW with his Salukis have both been raised in the dog world before embarking on their own journey, which they now successfully breed both Shelties and Salukis in Victoria. 

Having bred and raised multiple litters that have gone on to be extremely successful in the show ring, combined they have also been very fortunate to handle dogs to multiple Best In Show (including multiple Royal BIS’s), Runner Up In Shows, Specialties and Semi Specialties included. 

Makaela is a qualified Working Dog Judge, and Aaron is a qualified Hound judge. Their judges training continues as they embark on further groups. Learning that to be the best at what we do, the studying never ends! 

Since before we can remember, our dogs have thrived on Black Hawk! Being Australian owned and made is just an added bonus. 

Their consistent perfect condition, coats and ability to do what they are meant to do is a testament to a healthy diet!
